So its best to max the good synergies for you fire skills first, then max Copd Mastery last as you reach 80+. Also, while Orb is powerful and good for mobs, Fireball is better at boss killing, especially NM and Hell Andy. Meteor gives 14% per level while Mastery only 7%, so the two extra points to get to Meteor are worth it omce you put three or more points into it. I just maxed Fire Ball, Fire Bolt, Mastery, anf Orb/Cold Mast.ĭo no do this. With both maxed, he will be very hard to kill.Īs for the Sorceress, I once tried to save some skill points by not putting any points in Meteor, saving me two more from not needing its prerequisites. The reason being that even though Clay Golem does laughable damage amd has diminishing returns on his slowing effect, you still will have maxed out his slow potential and granted yourself one of the highest-HP meat shields in the game. Max Raise Skeleton, Skeletal Mastery, Corpse Explosion, Clay Golem (unless you plan on using Iron Golem) and dump the rest of the points into Golem Mastery. In my opinion, the lag isnt worth maxing revives or mages or even 1-pointing either of them. This is negligible, as most of them dont land hits very often and they swing pretty slow. Two pieces of advice for two of the more popular starter characters, the Summoner Necro and the Fireball/Frozen Orb sorc:įor summon necromancers, people will talk up Revives because certain monsters such are Urdars have Crushing Blow. Sorcs are fun and who can ever have just 2 character right? I will probably be playing hammerdin to start and transition into uber smiter. So you will have to play the old fashioned way.Ĭlosing. Dont think it will be this easy around reset though. It is awesome and easy (ravenclaw is best bow for this). Hardcore: everything stays the same but pre reset there are chantbots that enchant you so you get a plain bow from a vendor and go 1 shot normal. Get some extra levels in trist runs and hopefully find a decent group to Baal and run NM with. For the most part play through the story. New ladder leveling: completely different. Hard to find a good game sometimes where they clear the random monsters that can 1 shot you. Grush with hell chaos is also quite fast. Hide in a corner while a couple hammerdins continually kill mephistos skeles. Grush: if you find someone to rush you to a5 he'll. Norm Baal from 25 to 40ish or just under. Finding a trist game, tristing to 15 or 16. Leveling normally starts out running to stony plains wp. Let me hear what you guys think and how you will be starting the new ladder! I just thought people would find it helpful to see how I rank some starting classes. But they get style points for the cool helms.ĭiscussion: obviously personal preference is key to what character you want to play. I wouldnt say they are bad but not as good as hammerdins. They are easier then melee classes in the beginning because +skill gear is easier to find then good weapons etc. Wind/Fire druid: wind druid is my favourite but I wont be starting with it. It is Good but might drop in late game against bosses. Pretty much max skeles, max skele mastery, 1 in amp dmg, max corpse explosion. Summoning Necromancer: ask any single player fishymancer is a great ssf build. Watch out for immunes, assassin has Fade which is a grest defensive tool. Lightning is powerful and easy to scale for lategame damage. Lightning trap Assassin: I dont have as much experience with this class but I know it can be strong. 2 spirits (sword and shield), lore helm (ort sol), stealth armor (tal, eth) strong starting gear that is easy to find. Paladin shields with 4 sockets are not as hard to find and the runes are easy enough to get through countess runs.

Hammerdins can start out quite strong because they can run 2 spirit shields very easily. The only thing is you will need to run yourself for mfing or buy some runes off D2jsp or the spam bots. It is still a great starter because of how much damage hammers can really do. Paladin: of course the strongest class endgame in the form of hammerdin with all the right gear. This doesnt have the max raw damage potential but what it does allow is for dealing with immunities towards end game. I prefer to stsrt with fireball and frozen orb. Doing NM Andy and Meph runs can drop decent gear. Sorceress: easily one of the strongest starters with teleport and the ability to magic find so easily. I feel like characters that require skill points in gear is generally easier to level then characters that require good damage weapons etc. Which means All characters on Ladder will move to Non Ladder and everyone will be starting fresh on Ladder. Hey evertone, just thought I would share some info that people would find helpful for the DECEMBER 12th ladder reset.
